How to Identify Face Rash?


There are many reasons a person’s face may break out. Your face may be sensitive to certain types of soaps, lotions and creams. Rash Behind Knees  Viral and bacterial infections also may cause a rash to develop. Coming in contact with poison ivy, oak or sumac and then touching the face can cause a rash on face. Some people are allergic to pets or certain types of food that may cause them to develop a rash on face. It is important to identify a face rash in order to seek proper treatment.

You need to examine the skin for the indication of rash. Take note of how and when the face rash appeared. Did it come on suddenly or slowly? Is it limited to just your face or has the rash spread to other areas of the body?
Observe if the rash is dry or consists of fluid-filled pustules. Are the lesions small red dots or large blotchy spots? Are they flaky or crusty? Is your face red or inflamed? Is the affected skin tender or swollen? Does the face rash itch?
Notice if there are other symptoms such as fever or sore throat. Such symptoms usually indicate the presence of a viral or bacterial infection.
Take note of whether any other family members also have rashes. If so, it is very possible that you came in contact with a contagious condition.
Notice whether you made any change in your routine when you first developed the rash. Have you eaten something you normally don’t eat, gone somewhere different or used a new lotion or soap? Some people develop hives after eating certain foods or using certain products. Hives often requires no special treatment and goes away on its own.
